The Skyscraper Roller Coaster, being promoted as the world's tallest roller coaster, will form part of a larger entertainment complex called Skyplex. The project is set to be completed in 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
The roller coaster rises a stunnint 163 meters into the sky and curves, loops and spirals around the Skyplex tower and complex. The track itself measures 1,584 m long. Each round of the track takes three minutes to complete, while zooming at speeds of up to 104 km/h.
The Skyplex complex will house restaurants, retail spaces and a large tower with a restaurant and observation deck.
The expected cost of the Skyscraper Roller Coaster and Skyplex project is estimated at around $200 million, with construction set to begin in 2015 with doors opening in 2016.
