Flat-Packed Glamping Cabins

The Skyli Trekking Cabin Provides an Oasis in Extreme Weather

The Skyli Trekking Cabin is a prefabricated glamping cabin. In Icelandic, Skyli means shelter, which is exactly what the flat-packed camper provides. It can shelter up to 15 campers at a time.

The Skyli Trekking Cabin features an angular structure made from four gabled roofs. While the glamping setup resembles a tent, it is, in fact, clad in a steel facade. This helps to protect users from the weather. Boasting a bright blue color, the cabin is visible through rugged landscapes. The color and shape are also symbolic as a reflection of Iceland's capital city.

Designed by Swedish firm Utopia Arkitekter, the pre-fabricated dwelling can be assembled by users on-site in roughly two to three days.
