Toronto's Sky Walk is the Future of Roller-Coasters

As of this morning, perhaps the most fear-inducing ride is open to the thrill seekers of Toronto and the world: The Sky Walk.

Perched atop the CN Tower, which stands at a withering 1,168 ft, is a small metal platform which has tethers and mounting gear installed around it. This is the Sky Walk, and for $175, you can strap yourself to a rope, lean over the edge and look straight into what might be the scariest view of all time.

Although the Grand Canyon viewing deck and Empire State Observatory both offer greater heights, the CN Tower's Sky Walk boasts the distinguishing feature of simulated free-fall. Leaning over a metal railing is fine, but dangling gently from a tether, hundreds of meters in the air, seems infinitely more engaging.
