Sky Launches its Own Full-Service Smart TV Called 'Sky Glass'

British broadcaster and telecommunications company Sky has unveiled the concept for 'Sky Glass,' a satellite-free, full-service smart TV. Of course, the new TV will come with the Sky platform built-in, providing users with a fully integrated streaming system.

The 'Sky Glass' will be offered in three sizes -- 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch models. Users can expect top-notch specs, including a 4K Ultra HD Quantum Dot screen with 10-bit HDR, meaning the TV can support HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision. Other features include '360° Dolby Atmos' sound, voice command technology, and 'Glance Motion Technology' -- an interesting innovation that is used to wake up the TV when users look at it.

"Built on over 30 years of understanding what our customers want, this is a TV that only Sky could make. We believe this is the smartest TV available and that customers will love it," said Dana Strong, Group Chief Executive at Sky.
