Gerrel Saunders aka Gaks is a digital artist from Trinidad and Tobago with an interesting series of illustrations entitled 'Skull Girls 2.'
Skull Girls 2 is as literal as a title can be, featuring several different women who I'm sure would all look beautiful were it not for their lack of a face. Besides the obvious reason, Skull Girls 2 is a bizarre piece of work to behold. Unlike traditional skulls Saunders has chosen to draw them with a complete head of hair as well as giving them their own unique sense of style, creating the impression that the could be alive were in not for their obvious handicap.
While Gerrel Saunders considers his art to be "the convergence of beauty and emotion through the elegance of line and form" he freely admits "I just really like skulls."
