Today marks the return of 90s skate brand Metropolitan, brought back by the creator of HUF, Keith Hufnagel. Metropolitan is an old school skate brand that was originally launched in the early 90s by DLX Distribution, featuring popular skaters including Ryan Hickey, Gino Iannucci, Mike Hernandez, Ivan Perez and Keith Hufnagel himself. Hufnagel reached out to some of the original members of the Metropolitan team to showcase the new collection as well. When questioned as to what the motive behind bringing back Metropolitan was, Hufnagel states, "this is me returning to my roots; it's me giving back to skateboarding and keeping a brand alive."
Keith Hufnagel reveals an additional collection from the brand that includes a line of understated staple pieces for skating. The new release features hoodies, lightweight bomber jackets, quarter-zip shirts, branded caps, beanies and a camouflage face mask.
