The Sjoerd Jonkers 'Neolastic' Collection Channels Primitive Times

Our ceramic bowls and glass platters have come a long way from what they used to be and the Sjoerd Jonkers ‘Neolastic’ tableware collection brings us back—to a time where dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Inspired by archeology and primitive techniques, the Sjoerd Jonkers ‘Neolastic’ collection of plastic tableware is "a reaction on all industrial plastics in the household and in particular the kitchen," the designer explains. The pieces in the collection, which includes containers, mugs, bowls, plates, dishes, cups, and jugs, were created by pouring liquid polymer over a sand mold.
