The Sierra Nevada Corporation Announced ULA Will Carry Its Dream Chaser

The Sierra Nevada Corporation recently announced that its spaceplane, the Dream Chaser, will be sent into orbit by the Vulcan Centaur rocket. The rocket that will launch the Dream Chaser was created by the United Launch Alliance and the two companies will collaborate to complete the space mission. The Dream Chaser has been in the works since 2004 and the spacecraft is smaller than most others -- said to resemble a small shuttle.

The Sierra Nevada Corporation is yet to have an inaugural launch for its Dream Chaser. However, the spacecraft is scheduled to move cargo for the International space station, beginning in 2021 and ending in 2024. The company was one of the three organizations that NASA requested to move cargo to and from the space station.
