Simplistic Leather Soles

The Shoe Wrap by Parker Reid Features a Soft Sole and an Ergonomic Design

I'm always interested to see the ways in which people redesign the traditional silhouette of the shoe into more ergonomic creations and The Shoe Wrap by Parker Reid isa prime example of this. The concept shoe is created out of vegetable leather and is completely soft as opposed to featuring a stiff sole.

The Shoe Wrap by Parker Reid slips onto the foot and is then wrapped and tied to be securely fastened. Reid explains his design procedure: "For this project, I used the construction methods I was only available to and derived a design from that. The design also allows leniency in foot size and shape due to fastening method." What's more, Reid explains that the construction process can be done in about an hour, which could render these concept shoes as ready for selling if the designer so chooses.
