Shocking Food Discoveries

Hungry Planet Shows How Much We Really Consume

A ground-breaking new book is set to be released entitled "Hungry Planet" by Peter Menzel that will change the way people perceive food quantitatively and qualitatively.

Hungry Planet takes photos of families and one week's worth of their food intake from all over the globe.  The amount and types of food and amount spent vary dramatically country to country. For example, the Manzo family of Sicily, Italy spent around $260.11 USD, while the Aboubakar family of Breidjing Camp in Chad spent a total of $1.25 US for a week's worth of food.

Hungry Planet is a shockingly mind-opening look into the saying, "You are what you eat."
