The Recently Opened ShenZhen MUJI Hotel is Beautifully Anti-Gorgeous

Japense retail company MUJI, will soon be opening the doors on its Shenzhen MUJI Hotel. MUJI shocked fans and the hotel world with this announcement as this is the homeware brand's first hotel venture with the design being drastically different than any other hotel. According to the company's website, the hotel was designed to meet the needs of everyday travelers and thye company wanted its offering to be something affordably priced, without lacking in amenities and aesthetic. Following the opening of the ShenZhen location, MUJI hopes to expand further in China with the announcement of a Beijing location.

The ShenZhen MUJI hotel is of course fully equipped with MUJI products, all of which fit the design concept of the hotel of being "anti-gorgeous." Instead of bold and lavish ornamentation, the company is focusing more on subtle details. Everything from the texture of the towels, placement of the light sockets and choice of furniture was done meticulously to convey this idea.
