Futuristic Fish-Shaped Airports

The Shenzhen Airport Happens to Look Like a Manta Ray Shark

The Shenzhen Airport in China is what I like to call marine architecture. This home place to airplanes was designed to mimic the natural shape of a manta ray shark.

This futuristic place of deportation is a very big futuristic fish out of water with brand new features that make this airport a high-tech wonderland. The newest expansion of this airport hosts thousands of hexagonal skylights as well as the capacity doubling to accommodate 45 million passengers per year. The strange branch-like structures located throughout the interior are air conditioning vents influenced by abstract trees. The entire structure of the Shenzhen Airport measures over 5.3 million square feet.

This marine influenced airport is so precise and detailed it will have passengers feeling like they deported from under the sea.
