Songstress Smartphone Games

This Shakira Game Lets Players Collect Gems with the Worldly Pop Star

In this new Shakira game, called 'Love Rocks,' players collect gems and explore the globe with the well-traveled pop star.

The game begins in Barcelona, where Shakira grew up. While players are busy dropping and linking gems to create chains and earn points, the game progresses from beachy Barcelona to the Taj Mahal in India, El Dorado and other exotic locations. All 150 levels of the Shakira game feature a soundtrack entirely composed of the Spanish songstress's music. The Shakira game also features a social component -- necessary for success in any modern app-based game -- which allows players to post their scores and compete with friends through Facebook and Twitter.

The Shakira game was produced as a collaboration between Shakira and Rovio, the smartphone game creation company behind Angry Birds.
