For those who do not have a "green thumb," these self-watering pots are extremely low maintenance.
The planters were designed by Joey Roth after he was researching irrigation methods to inspire his garden in Southern California. The 'Olla' irrigation method is one that involves burying a clay vessel near a plant that slowly gives water to the plant -- a method that requires little intervention and prevents the evaporation of water. This self-watering pot was inspired by the Olla method and is cylindrical in shape and features a small pot in the middle that is porous, allowing water within it to seep into the water around it. The plant's roots slowly absorb the water as it is provided.
This planter comes in two different colors and allows for people to have plants at home without having to spend too much time cultivating them.
