London, England, is currently home to a natural self-cleaning pool. Although a temporary fixture in the city, it's an art project that does more than provide people with a safe and serene place to swim. The self-cleaning pool is located in a "regeneration zone" that is in constant flux. Fast Co Exist writes, "For the artists, it was a way to interact with a changing neighborhood — a new building will be constructed next to the pool as people swim — and also a way to literally immerse visitors in nature and help people think about the connection between their own health and the health of the environment."
The self-cleaning pool was created by Slovenia-based artist Marjetica Potrč, and Dutch architects Eva Pfannes and Sylvain Hartenber.
