Segway, an American manufacturer of two-wheeled commuter vehicles, has released the Segway Engine Wireless Speaker, a unique strap-on speaker system designed to mimic the sounds of a roaring combustion engine.
The launch of the new speaker system coincides with the company's announcement regarding its new GT Series scooters, which come equipped with electric engines capable of producing top speeds of 43.5 mph. Obviously, driving a near-silent electric scooter while going 40+ miles is quite dangerous, which is why Segway initially decided to develop the Engine Wireless Speaker.
The speaker itself features Bluetooth connectivity, a rechargeable battery, and IP55 dust and waterproofing. In addition, it can be easily charged through a standard USB-C port and can also double as a personal stereo system when not attached to a scooter.
