Secondary Disaster Kits

NOSIGNER's Second Aid Kit Provides Things to Use After a First Aid Kit

The Second Aid kit was developed as part of a collaboration between the designers of NOSIGNER and the Kohshin Trading Company in Japan in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake. Rather than being a first aid kit that comes with medical supplies, Second Aid is the box that's just as important for dealing with the aftermath of a natural disaster like an earthquake.

The kit comes packed with items like food supplies, water packets, sporks, face masks, wet towels and a booklet to help people make sense of the contents of a first aid kit. The Second Aid kit is also tied to OLIVE, another project by NOSIGNER that serves as a public forum and resource for people to consult on earthquake preparedness.
