Pantone History Shoes

SeaVees 09/63 Tribute Footwear

SeaVees, Purveyors of California Casual and Pantone, the world-renowned color authority, have teamed to create 09/63, a shoe series that celebrates the birth of the Pantone Matching System. It celebrates the first PMS swatch book on the market, created in September 1963. The series will be limited to 1963 pairs, and each style will carry a name that pays homage to an important date in California’s history.

This is the first time Pantone has granted external designers access to their archives. Once there, SeaVees chose seven vintage colors featured in the original Pantone guide.

The shoes will become available in Spring 2009, in some of the coolest and most exclusive boutiques around the world.
