In Nike's 'The Nature of Motion' show, designer Bertjan Pot created seating pods that were made from cars and inspired by Nike's shoe designs.
The resting pods come in multiple sizes and colors, making them perfect seating options for adults, infants and everyone in between. The seating pods were designed by first using the inner tubes of wheels from different vehicles and then weaving covers for the seats. The weaving technique was inspired by Nike's use of the same technique to "knit uppers for sports shoes in one piece."
The fact that the designer created a resting area in an installation and also integrated it so that it flowed with the rest of the Nike displays made these seating pods both artistic and utilitarian.
