Whimsically Imperfect Furniture

Seasons by Valentin Loellmann is Beautifully Organic

The organic aesthetic of the furniture collection titled Seasons by Valentin Loellmann gives each piece a perfectly imperfect quality. As though taken from the homes of fairies and nymphs, the pieces look like they were crafted from tree branches and drift wood. While wood is the essential ingredient of this furniture collection, it has been artfully formed and manipulated to make it appear as though it was simply picked up from the forest floor.

Comprised of tables, stools and benches, Seasons by Valentin Loellmann is diverse in both dimension and function. Although no two pieces are alike, they are all "constructed in the same process in which mortise-and-tenon joints are used to connect hazel branches and an oak top," according to Yanko Design. The pieces are then burned and treated with wax.
