Looking to bring social media under the sea, the Royal Caribbean SeaSeekers are a new scuba mask design that was created in collaboration with Snapchat in order to let travelers snap while they swim. The mask features Snapchat Spectacles that have been incorporated into the design in order to let wearers offer a first-person POV of their time spent under the surface. The mask will enable wearers to record video and photos for up to 30 minutes at a time at depths of up to 150 feet.
At present, the Royal Caribbean SeaSeeker masks have been created in limited numbers and are being tested with professional divers and marine biologists. Royal Caribbean hopes to bring the masks to guests of its cruises in the near future to offer enhanced connectivity for travelers.
