Modular Sculptural Shelving

HELIX by OSW Creates an Immersive Spatial Environment

HELIX is a sculptural shelving unit that looks as though it were created with an art gallery in mind. Made up of futuristic geometric shapes, the while modules can be arranged and rearranged in endless possibilities depending on the space or personal taste.

Designed by OSW (Open Source Workshop), the sculptural shelving unit was presented during the 2014 Milan Design Week. Turning its environment into an immersive spatial experience, the sculptural shelving unit doesn't end at the ceiling, but instead crawls across it to continue its stunning aesthetic throughout the entire room. Like the cracks in a desert floor, the sculptural shelving unit meanders organically, fitting together like one big puzzle. It is made out of a completely recyclable material made from corn.
