Stunning Blue Sculptural Headwear

Siba Sahabi Boasts Nine Masks That are Inspired by Architecture

Designer Siba Sahabi's sculptural headwear is essentially wearable architecture. The creative crafts the designs with layers of balsa wood and then "cuts [them] using a computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine." A light blue coating is applied to each silhouette to give an aura of uniformity, as well as vibrant detail.

Siba Sahabi produces nine pieces of sculptural headwear and presents them in a collection, named 'Persona.' Through it, the designer attempts to "investigate the nature of individualism" as manifested through the digital era. Surely, the topic of exploration is quite relevant to a society that is becoming ever-more tech-integrated.

Siba Sahabi's sculptural headwear can reach up to 60 centimeters in height and definitely draws some inspiration from "the crowns of art deco skyscrapers."
