Urban Sophistication is a parody brand that merges apparel with pop culture to attract a more modern consumer and in its recent "SCREENSHOTS" editorial, the brand leveraged its self-awareness to warn consumers of the risks of social media.
The editorial, which showcased the brand's colorful and topical sweaters, tees, pants and hoodies featured a variety of models posing with their phone facing the photographer, as if they were being captured taking a selfie. What's interesting, is that these shots all feature a phone case with a hidden message. Inside of the cases features a small warning that's reminiscent of the labels found on cigarette packaging. Some of these warnings read "social media seriously harms your mental health."
