Berlin-born designer Malaika Raiss is a self-declared Star Wars fan, so it makes sense that she is coming out with sci-fi jewelry sets inspired by the beloved movies. Raiss is not foreign to pop culture designs, as she previously created pendants after the 'King Kong' and 'Back to the Future' feature films.
Raiss teamed up with Disney-owned Lucasfilm Ltd. to get the rights to create pieces like the Imperial shutter earrings and Darth Vader pendant. The sci-fi jewelry sets will be both fashionable and fine jewelry pieces, resulting in a wide range of prices. Some of them will be made from 18-carat gold, rose gold and some will even sparkle with diamonds.
The full collection will be released in October and be ready in stores for the newest 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' movie release near Christmastime.
