The newest school in Lesotho was created as a gift from the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho -- and it has been named the 'China-Lesotho Friendship School.'
The new building comes as part of China's investments in African development and has state-of-the-art features, including a computer lab, science lab, and high-end sporting facilities. In addition, the school has a hall which "can be used for workshops, conferences, movies, as well as educational and cultural activities." The space is able to accommodate 560 students and has dormitories for students.
Lesotho's schooling system is more advanced than others in the sense that the country has the highest proportion of girls in school when compared to other low-income countries, and its newest school will help the country advance its education system further.
