Those funky shoes / trainers are the latest in Paris in the 7ème. arrondissement. I have seen them lately in Paris, in Rive Gauche (of course!), but you can also get them in the UK or through the net.
Half baskets, half shoes, they fit you just great and give you some kind of casualness very much looked for these days. You can even wear them for a wedding (and you must be the most comfortable fellow of the day!) or just to hang out with your friends. I do not know why but they remind me of the Mod's aesthetics and I can very much imagine them combined with slim Dior trousers and with a black satin jacket. They are a fresh, renewed version of our parent's favourites. It's just a shame that you cannot find it for women!
