Schilte & Portielje Expose the Sensuality of the Back

Schilte & Portielje are a Dutch couple that have created a dark and edgy world inhabited by solitary and mysterious people through their art. Jacqueline Portielje studied painting and Huub Schilte is an architect by trade. When they met in 1975, they inspired each other to create these haunting pieces of art.

All their artwork is spooky, yet serenely beautiful. Focusing on the sensuality of the back -- which is largely ignored in most works of art -- they have produced a lovely gallery of creepy artwork. Haven't got your fix of beautiful dark artwork? You can view more their surreal artwork at their website.
