A round of applause for photographer Sasha Kurmaz who is breaking barriers with his bold photography!
The Ukraine-based artist is passionate about portraiture, but uses strategies that stray far from typical. Instead of focusing on the facial features of his subjects, Sasha prefers posing them in awkward stances. Usually their faces are completely shielded from the audience who is encouraged instead to take in their body language. Sasha embraces the strange, and contorts his subjects before snapping them; some can be seen with objects stacked upon their head, while others hide behind a curtain and stretch.
Sasha also shoots still-life photos, humorously capturing the contrast between unrelated objects.
This amusing series of snapshots by Sasha Kurmaz is colorfully creative and very contorted.
