Sār Unveils the Experimental Sār Residence by Girish Doshi

Indian furniture imprint Sār has introduced an experimental house dubbed the Sār Residence and it was created by architect Girish Doshi. It is used for exhibitions, design residencies, and performances to name a few of its functions. Nestled in the city of Pune, it is the first physical space that was founded by designer Nikita Bhate in 2018.

The goal was to create a home-like environment instead of a traditional retail showroom and allow the brand to showcase its products in a new way. Bhate shares with Dezeen, "This building gave us an opportunity to explore design in terms of space, not just furniture. This is not a shop where you go and see ten sofas. It's a space to live in, where Sār can be part of your life. From architecture to furniture to small objects, everything you're using is by us."
