Samsung really did their best to raise the bar at CES 2010. Many different devices were displayed such as the amazing flatscreen panels that Samsung had available on the auditorium floor. Another innovation Samsung is working on is a multi-device app store. Details are still in development, however Samsung is doing their best to develop apps, not only for the mobile phone market, but also for the television market as well. Many of these television apps will be controlled from your remote control.
Speaking of televisions, Samsung is also working on developing the world’s first 3D plasma television that is scheduled for release in 2010. Some of the prototypes that were shown during CES 2010 included a 23 inch plasma television that had the width of (drumroll please) A PENCIL! It will even have a sensor to detect when a user is approaching the television, and removing the front panel controller. Dreamworks and Technicolor will be partners in working on the 3-D content for the televisions. A 3-d blueray player is also in the works as well.
Samsung is also set to introduce the world’s first mobile television that will bring television capabilities to the mobile phone (only thing is, I’m not sure if Japan has already developed this type of technology. Of course, it could have been a Samsung affiliate that introduced this in Japan).
Many amazing things are happening at Samsung, and the world will be waiting with baited breath as the whole thing unfolds.
