The holiday season can be a time of festive fun, great food, and gift-giving, but for thousands of homeless children in North America, December isn't always the happiest of times -- which is what designer Samia Kallidis addresses in her latest endeavour.
Titled 'Chloe's Magic Box,' the project aims at helping the 45 children currently residing one of the homeless shelters of New York City's Bronx area. The NYC-based artist created personalized art kits for each child, including an illustrated story that serves as a coloring book, and art supplies lacking at the shelter. The kit is packaged in a beautifully decorated box, which Kallidis designed using watercolors and typography.
With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season it's easy to forget the true meaning of the holidays, but Samia Kallidis's 'Chloe's Magic Box' project is a great reminder of the greatest gift of all: giving.
