Reflected Rock-Inspired Pictorials

The Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2013 Collection Nods to Bowie

The Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2013 collection lookbook gives us a graphic look at the first collection from the design house under the design leadership of Hedi Slimane. Photographed using a kind of mirror-like feature, the lookbook utilizes mainly black and white coloring with hints of metallic gold and bronze. David Bowie influences can be seen in the slim-built models and the pompadours sitting atop their heads.

Slimane makes use of a number of different prints throughout the collection. These include polka dots, nautical stripes and leopard print. The mix of these prints points to a mixture between on trend prints and glam rock style.

Year to year, Saint Laurent changes up the feel of its collections. If there is one thing that you can expect from Saint Laurent, it's that you never know what to expect from the fashion house.
