Saica Group and Mondelēz International are introducing a cutting-edge paper-based packaging solution tailored for multipack products in the confectionery, biscuit, and chocolate markets. This innovative packaging is designed with sustainability at its core, ensuring it can be easily recycled within the standard paper waste stream.
The newly developed packaging is versatile, accommodating both coated and uncoated variations, and is engineered to work seamlessly with heat-sealable packing processes. These attributes align with the stringent sustainability standards of the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI).
The product development process had the goal of optimizing conversion and Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) packing methods. Additionally, Saica Group and Mondelēz have prioritized high printing quality and optimal functionality, ensuring the packaging is practical, visually appealing, and easy to use on machine-packing lines.
