The SAGA Interactive Gym is Being Used in Quebec Schools

The SAGA Interactive Gym is a program that has the potential to assuage parents' concerns about the rising allure of technology-based play for their children. Rather than encouraging passivity and stasis, as most video games do, the SAGA Interactive Gym uses an augmented reality projection system to get kids active and playing during gym class.

The project will be available for purchase to the general public in spring of 2017, but it has been demoed at several elementary schools around Quebec (out of which SAGA is based.) All of these trials have revolved around interactive projections of some sort, such as a game in which kids throw dodgeballs at falling squares in order to score points for their team.

On top of the playful games in the SAGA Interactive Gym system, the company hopes to introduce educational modules soon after release.
