The teardrop-shaped design in trailers looked to be a thing of the past, but it has been making a comeback in recent times as best exemplified by the new Safari Condo recreational campers. The Alto R 1713 and R 1723 are intended as a more economical alternative to larger caravan-style campers.
Both models are impressively lightweight, weighing 763 and 782 kg respectively, and can comfortably house up to four people. They boast an aerodynamic shape for easy towing.
A retractable roof offers superior interior space compared to smaller traditional teardrop trailers, and bathe the interior space with natural light. These interiors feature two sleeping areas, a smart kitchen, a dining area, a flush toilet and tons of storage space. The trailers can be further upgraded with optional rooftop solar panels, heat pumps and air-conditioning.
The Safari Condo trailer models will go for between $23,000 and $29,500, depending on optional upgrades.
