Colombian designer Alex Garzon was inspired by a natural phenomenon when he drafted this rotational watch face. The circular watch has a simple dial and background that is color-blocked to resemble a lunar eclipse. Exuding an overall science-esque feel, the Lunaround watch is minimalist and clean-cut.
The watch’s face is nontraditional, because every aspect of it is constantly moving. Its hour hand, shaped like a crescent moon, rotates a full cycle every 12 hours. The accompanying full moon is rotating as well, though it’s very slow and barely noticeable. There is even a digital hour indicator bar inside the moon that is continuously switching. The simplistic design is finished off with red minute and second hands for an accent of color.
