Industrial Production Technique Makes Footwear Look Like Ice

These icicle-looking shoes are created using a rare rotational molding technique; it is more of an industrial production technique, used to make hollow plastic objects, than the latest news in fashion production.

It was Marloes ter Bhömer, a Dutch designer based in London, who came up with this experimental shoe making technique.

The conceptual production idea will be exhibited at the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year 2009 at the Design Museum in London till mid June.
