Roger Dubuis and Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama have partnered for an exclusive ‘sexy robot’-style watch that elevates the brand’s signature watch model. The new ‘Roger Dubuis Excalibur Sorayama Monobalancier’ is the brand’s third watch in the ‘Urban Culture Tribe’ collection, which has already debuted watches in collaboration with Dr. Woo and graffiti artist Gully.
Dubuis recognized the impact of Sorayama’s 1983 novel ‘Sexy Robots’ and requested that the artist revamp the watchmaker’s star motif using his unique style. The new watch boasts a 42mm grade 5 titanium Monobalancier, a new micro-rotor, and revised lines on the case and movement. The ‘Roger Dubuis Excalibur Sorayama Monobalancier’ will be manufactured only 28 times, making this watch the newest limited edition timepiece on the market.
