Robot-Powered Airport Cafes

Cafe X Has Opened a Robotic Coffee Bar at the San Jose Airport

Cafe X has announced a new version of its Robotic Coffee Bar will be launched in the San Jose International Airport (SJC) to offer travelers with access to coffee at their leisure. The robotic cafe will be located in Terminal B and will be capable of handling up to 10 orders at a times to serve up an array of drinks including lattes, cappuccinos, iced matcha lattes and more. The clean design of the cafe offers travelers access to a screen to order their drink, which will be prepared in a matter of moments.

Founder and CEO of Cafe X Henry Hu spoke on the new Robotic Coffee Bar saying, "I had the idea of a robot making coffee after waiting over 30 minutes for coffee at an airport a few years ago. It’s super rewarding to now be launching our first airport Cafe X location. We look forward to entertaining travelers with our friendly, dancing robotic barista while saving them from what seems like an eternity of waiting in line for coffee."
