Stellar Lifestyle, a retail management and digital advertising firm, has partnered with food and beverage technology provider Crown Original to install robotic baristas throughout 30 MRT stations in Singapore.
The robot barista Ella will provide a cashless and contactless alternative to the human barista. It will be equipped to serve up to 200 cups of coffee per hour to any commuter that has ordered their beverage of choice through the Crown Digital app. So, upon arrival at the MRT station, commuters will have a fresh cup of java waiting for them.
To develop Ella, Crown Original used a series of AI-powered live video analytic monitors and ultra-secure solenoid IoT locks to prevent tampering and ensure the device's safety.
