The ARC River Culture Pavilion Design by New York-based Asymptote resembles a large quilted spaceship. The silvery pillow-like installation is situated above an artificial hill near a man-made river in Daegu, South Korea. The bowl formation is covered in ETFE pillows, which is what creates the quilted exterior texture. Visitors enter through an underground entrance, allowing them to see the galleries both above and below ground. The roof also accommodates an enormous observation deck. The main exhibition features a 60-meter-long projection screen, resulting in artistic moving imagery.
The interior of the ARC River Culture Pavilion stands in sharp contrast to its light exterior. The inside is a darker-hued multimedia-immersive space with lots of sleek lines.
