Experiential storefronts are beginning to replace standard designa, which is why RIPNDIP's New York pop-up elicits a technology-infused, dreamlike vibe.
The store, which opened during last week's New York Fashion Week, will remain in place for two short months, offering its guests immersion rooms and one-of-a-kind experiences all within a vibrant, cartoon-like colorway. Serving as an installation and a showcase of the brand's new collection, this storefront is described as the product of the runway meeting the streets. The walls of the interior are painted with the brand's iconic 'Lord Nermal the cat' and feature a large TV installation, giant plush toys, video art, neon projections and visual art.
In addition, the brand's collection features inspiration from popular artists, such as Dali, Rodin and Michelangelo.
