Design has finally invaded the computer peripheral world in the form of the Rinkak mouse. The Rinkak mouse was custom-made for electronics company Elecom and is designed to make the mouse's cable, previously a supporting player, the star of the show.
Rinkak means "outline" in Japanese, so it is only appropriate that this mouse's cable outlines the mouse itself. While the mouse isn't all that extraordinary, I am hopeful that Nendo's design will encourage more designers to create artful computer peripherals. Ergonomic grips and macro buttons are nice, but I wouldn't mind having a mouse that stood out from the pack based upon its design and not its function. You can see the Rinkak mouse here, and if you really are a fan of Nendo's new design, you should probably submit an application or two to Elecom right away.
