Those who fear bugs might want to avert their gaze from the Rhinoceros Beetle Chair. This chair is part of the Animal Collection from Maximo Riera. Riera has already turned a rhinoceros, sea lion and elephant (among other creatures) into leather chairs. A rhinoceros beetle is a logical next step.
The Rhinoceros Beetle Chair succeeds as both a work of art and a functional piece of furniture. It is highly detailed and looks as if it could come to life at any second. That being said, it also looks quite comfortable. Unfortunately, all of Riera's animal chairs are currently one-off creations. Here's hoping he decides to do a commercial run of his Animal Collection sooner rather than later.
