Artist JooYoun Paek has come up with a clever idea to help people share the music they love with the world around them: reverse headphones. These headsets some with not one set, but two sets of earpieces. One set faces the correct way out and the other faces outwards so that those around the listener will get a taste of what the wearer is listening to.
While I think the philosophy and artistic statement behind these reverse headphones is positive and inspirational, I think their use in everyday life would be rather annoying. I don't want to know that the woman beside me on the subway is listening to a Susan Boyle song on repeat. There are some things better off left unknown.
