Isolated Natural Retreat Cabins

Renée Del Gaudio Architecture's Structure is Clad in Cedar

Renée del Gaudio Architecture create two quaint and secluded natural retreat cabins on a rocky site near a rural town in Colorado. At a 10,000 foot elevation, the American studio utilizes smart architectural design to create two connected houses with gabled roofs and cedar exteriors.

Dubbed 'Big Cabin Little Cabin,' the goal of the project was to create a natural retreat cabin that allows for a restful experience, a break from overstimulating urban and work environments, as well as panoramic views of the majestic organic landscape that include the Sangre de Cristo mountains, the Collegiate Peaks and the South Platte River.

Surrounded by a lush forest of bristlecone and ponderosa pines, the modern retreat cabins will definitely foster a meditative environment for guests.
