This is ideal for travellers, newcomers and consumers on-the-go alike that are looking for a place to eat that they know will meet their expectations.
Finding a restaurant to eat at can be difficult, especially if you aren't familiar with the area you're in. Google Maps' new feature will help to solve this issue by recommending places to eat based off of timing, reviews and even the eatery's vibe. Google's senior product manager Murali Viswanathan described the feature on Google's blog as, "Once you pick the category that suits your craving, you can see in-depth details about each location."
Currently the restaurant recommendation feature is only available for Android, but will most likely make its way to iOS in the near future.
