A new restaurant co-working space hybrid opened earlier this year in Kelowna's Lower Mission. Considered to be "one-of-a-kind," the collaboration between CoWorkanagan and Playa Del Sol Resort's restaurant, Basil & Mint, is a strategic and creative solution that will surely drive more traffic to both businesses.
Since Basil & Mint does not open doors until 5 PM, the restaurant co-working hybrid was born out of a logical desire to utilize the dining establishment's beautiful space during the day. Dustin Blondin, co-founder and managing director of CoWorkanagan, shared that through this collaboration, the companies are "trying to do what Airbnb does and what Uber does—[they're] creating more of a share economy within the workspace and office industry."
The co-working space within Basil & Mint will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM on weekdays and from 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays.
