Alfa Romeo's Latest Car Pays Tribute to a Legendary Late-1960s Ride

Venerable sports car make Alfa Romeo has unveiled its first brand new supercar in nearly 20 years in the form of the '33 Stradale,' a vehicle that well and truly pays homage to the 1967 33 Stradale, an iconic supercar that is revered for its gorgeous design cues as well as its riproaring performance.

This reimagined iconic supercar can be obtained in two variants, with the first version including a V6 engine that is capable of churning out up to 620 horsepower which enables the attainment of a top speed of 333 km/h. If that wasn't impressive enough, the inclusion of an electric drive system further pushes the boundaries with 750 horsepower and the ability to spring from zero to 100 km/h in less than three seconds, not to mention a range of 450 km.

Design cues inspired by the original '33 Stradale' include the butterfly door access and visually separated cockpit section.

"With the new 33 Stradale, we wanted to create something that lived up to our past, to serve the brand and to make the Alfisti fandom proud," stated Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO over at Alfa Romeo, who noted that while this is Alfa Romeo's first custom-built vehicle since 1969, it will not be the last.
